HONDURAS 2009

In March of 2008, Knowing Him Ministries went to El Progresso, Honduras.  Lauren taught in the International Victory Bible Institute located there.  She also ministered in the local churches. 
The ministry is teaming up with Pastors Hernan and Belinda Calix to assist their congregation in constructing a new church debt free!

Our vision is to proclaim the message of the Kingdom, with Jesus Christ as King,  to the people.  Since the heart of God is PEOPLE, in EVERY place where people are, we proclaim the Gospel for every one who believes, that they should not die, but have eternal life.  For those who believe, we intend to disciple, baptize, and help them to encounter the purpose of God for their lives.

We want to encourage believers in Honduras to reach for higher heights in God and to believe Him for greater things. We want to see people come to the knowledge of the truth in every area of their lives, so they can be leaders in the progress of their country. The Gospel frees people. A greater knowledge of the Word of God leads to a greater faith for their life's help. We plan to teach the truths of the Word in the international Bible school. We plan to teach children to be strong in the Word, working with 2 of the local Christian schools. We also plan to work in the churches, preaching and teaching seminars and helping to encourage pastors to reach for God's best. In Pastor Hernán's church, we plan to help with whatever areas of ministry he needs us for. We want to start a fellowship with English-speaking workers there. We also want to begin connect groups with translators, and to welcome Americans and introduce them to ministry areas in Honduras.
